Knitting French Girl with Donna

I got back from my trip to see Bernadette and Donna in Las Vegas.  A combination of Donna’s knitting store, Knit Las Vegas, and her many projects at home had me eager to try a new pattern, Veronique, from the French Girl Knits book by Kristeen Griffin-Grimes.  Donna bought the book for me and a skein of yarn called K-Angora by Kartopu.

So I went ahead and blogged this and updated Ravelry.  Kristeen’s website is:  http://www.frenchgirlknits.com/index.php

I checked the site and it looks like it’s still a work in progress but it has a list of book sellers and tours you can take in France dealing with knitting.  Sounds fun?

Anyway, Donna had to cast on the provisional cast ons for me.  I had no idea how it was done and she got me started on the 135 stitches per row.  I cannot wait to see it grow.
